Visiting Victoria? Here is a Hotel that Won’t Disappoint!

Hotel Grand Pacific is a sophisticated 4-star hotel set in Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbor, just blocks away from restaurants, museums, and shopping.

Hotel Grand Pacific – 463 Belleville Street, Victoria, British Colombia, Canada

Hotel Grand Pacific, while it can’t be more than 30 years old, went through a multi-million dollar renovation in 2016, and the hotel looks great!

The hotel’s 300 rooms are clean, bright, and modern. The lobby, restaurant, and gift shop are classy and elegant.

Hotel Grand Pacific is in an excellent location. Across the street from the ferry terminals and the Victoria Clipper terminal.

A 3-minute walk to the beautiful Victoria Parliament building, the Royal BC Museum, and the Fairmont Empress hotel. A 5-minute walk will take you to Government street where you can find restaurants, cafes, shops and souvenir stores. China Town/Fan Tan Alley is a 15-minute walk.

Some famous attractions like Butchart Gardens require the use of transportation which is 14 miles outside of Victoria in Brentwood Bay. You can arrange transport to Butchart Gardens and other attractions from a little tourist kiosk outside the Fairmont Empress.

 Check-In
I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 AM. I was only expecting to store my luggage, but they informed me that my room was ready. I was able to check in early at no additional charge. That impressed me.

The website lists check-in at 4 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. They also allowed me to delay my check-out until 12 PM.

Th lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays.

Room
I had a standard Victoria room with a small balcony. The view wasn’t impressive, but the room was great!

I loved the color scheme and style of the rooms. The rooms had a modern and sophisticated look.

The bathroom was spotless and shining.

Amenities
All rooms include a flat-screen TV, in-room safe, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, electric kettle and coffee maker, and Wi-Fi.

Parking is $18.00 per night (valet is $25.00). I recommend not bringing a vehicle for a stay of 1-2 nights in Victoria. There is a lot to see within walking distance in the downtown area and the hotel offers free short-term bike rentals to explore the city.

Hotel Grand Pacific has several restaurants on site, the Pacific Restaurant and Terrace, the Courtyard Cafe, and private dining at the Mark. Room service is available from 6:30 am – 11:30 am and 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm daily.

There is also a business center, fitness center, pool, and sauna. The pool and fitness center are a part of the Victoria Athletic Club, so members of the community are also using these facilities.

Overall
I recommend staying at this hotel during your visit to Victoria. A standard room will be about $150 USD. The price is pretty good considering the location and the proximity to many tourist sites. Check out their hot deals page before booking.

Hotel Grand Pacific offers a Grand Advantage Membership program. This program seems specific to Hotel Grand Pacific only, which is the only major downfall of this hotel.
